Sideman

Privacy

Last updated October 19, 2026

Sideman is a music practice app for iPhone, Android and the web. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. In short: we collect what the app needs to work, we don’t sell your data, we don’t show ads and we don’t track you across other apps or websites.

What we collect

The tuner and the plug-in amp use your microphone only while they’re on. Nothing is recorded or sent anywhere.

Who helps us run Sideman

These companies process data for us, only to provide their service: Supabase (accounts, community and storage), RevenueCat (subscriptions), Apple, Google and Stripe (payments), Apple and Google (notifications), OpenAI (automatic screening of new posts and comments for harmful content) and Cloudflare (this website).

How long we keep it

As long as you have an account. When you delete your account, your profile, posts, files, comments, messages, follows and synced data are deleted. Reports you filed about others may be kept to protect the community. Waitlist emails are deleted when you unsubscribe or ask us to.

Your choices

Children

The community is for people 13 and older. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
